Aeration is done through rotating media. No air blower or compressed air is used. Hence, no odour or hazardous bioaerosols are generated.

Conventional aerobic digesters need 10 to 13-foot-high tanks with open tops for inspection and maintenance. Hence, there is a great risk of an accident. In RBC technology, the water depth is hardly 3 feet, and the hood is covered from all sides, making it safer.

Process

The treatment process is turbulence-free. Heavier sludge is settled and collected in RBC, Tube settler, Settling Tank, and then transferred to the Sludge Drying Bed.

Rotating drum RPM is too low (1.2- 2.0 rpm), creating unnoticeable noise
